Humor Ain't Always Funny...Dammit
Marshall skillfully draws three separate and entirely believable characters: a young black man convicted of the murder of his best friend; an ethically ambivalent attorney on the fast-track to a partnership, or so he presumes; and a homeless war veteran hiding out in plain sight.

Each of Marshall's characterizations is distinctive and spot-on, and he creates their entire worlds with a single costume, a few simple props, and evocative lighting cues. It is both comic and tragic, timely and timeless, forceful and laugh-out-loud funny.
